The Great Metal Anodizing

The corrosion resistance, hardness, wear resistance, insulation and heat resistance of metal materials or products are greatly improved after surface anodization. The most commonly Metal Anodizing material is aluminum. The anodization of aluminum is generally carried out in an acidic electrolyte with aluminum as the anode. During electrolysis, the anion of oxygen interacts with aluminum to produce an oxide film. This film is not thin enough at the beginning of formation, although there is a certain resistance, but the negative oxygen ions in the electrolyte can still reach the aluminum surface to continue to form an oxide film. As the film thickness increases, the resistance also increases, so the electrolytic current decreases. At this time, the outer oxide film in contact with the electrolyte is chemically dissolved. When the rate of oxide formation on the aluminum surface is gradually balanced with the rate of chemical dissolution, the oxide film can reach the maximum thickness under this electrolytic parameter. The outer layer of aluminum anodized film is porous and easy to absorb dyes and colored substances, so it can be stained to improve its decoration. The corrosion resistance and wear resistance of the oxide film can be further improved after being blocked by hot water, high temperature water vapor or nickel salt.
